DUMAS Harvest Haven 2025– Backyard Vegetable Garden Contest

 

Registration will open on March 1st,2025 and will close on June 30th,2025.

Judging will be during the weekends in August; dates and times to be determined.

Prizes will be awarded to the top two, who score well in the listed criteria.

 

Entry rules:

1. Competition is open to home vegetable gardeners of the members of DUMAS.

2. Registration will open March 1st, and entries must be received by midnight on June 30th.

3. Judging will take place during the weekends of August. Entrants will be notified a few days before their judging time.

4. The decision of the judges is final.

5. Entry by executive committee members of the DUMAS & Board of Directors will not be allowed to participate

 

Judging Criteria:  Vegetable Gardens will be judged on Yield areas, Plant variety and condition, neatness, and unique features like

First Impression | Visual impact | Use of space | Combinations | Arrangement | Health | Hardiness | Maturity | Maintenance | Grooming & Staking | Free of debris, weeds, and clutter
